Quantum Shield explores hybrid protection for communications and services around the WordFinance ecosystem. It is a research program, not a claim that today’s wallets or Bitcoin signatures are quantum-proof.

Research status. Experimental work does not replace audits, standards conformance, interoperability testing or production threat modeling.

A standards-led foundation.

NIST finalized its first three post-quantum FIPS standards in 2024. WordFinance research follows these primary references and their continuing guidance.

The goal is crypto agility: the ability to introduce, combine and replace cryptographic components without pretending the wider system is automatically protected.
